Competition
Northampton in Bloom is a local competition, headed up by Northampton Borough Council, that encourages schools, community groups, residents, businesses, allotments and parish councils to get involved in horticulture and community projects for the benefit of residents and visitors to the town. Once again the number of participants in Northampton in Bloom grew last year.
The aims of Northampton in Bloom are:
- To improve all areas of the town by involving members of the community
- To consider all aspects relating to saving natural resources in the work carried out
- To encourage children to understand their environment through projects within schools and to learn where their food comes from
- To enjoy whatever we do as part of the Bloom community
