About the Friends
The Friends group was founded in 2003. We are a community group who work in partnership with everyone who uses the park to continually improve and enhance the area. We work with members and non-members as well as volunteers who undertake different projects or tasks. We liaise formally with local officers and councillors to raise funds for improvements.
Information about our past and present projects can be found on this website.

The Friends is run by Committee of six members, comprising a Chair, Secretary, Finance Officer and three other members. The Committee work to represent the members of the Friends, around 310 currently, and take forward when possible suggestions and ideas for the park.
All new developments are discussed and decided upon at the Park Management Committee. This Committee represents all clubs or groups who use the park. It is Chaired by Anne Stevens, and meets quarterly. It is supported by Northampton Borough Council who produce the Action Plan for the park, detailing all plans, ideas and possible developments. It is available upon request.
Volunteers
We receive a number of requests from well-meaning individuals who wish to help with our work in the park. In order to take part, everyone must first
register with the Friends as a volunteer in order to be covered by our public liability insurance. All volunteers must be aged 18 years or over.
Friends would welcome other areas of support as well, so if you or anyone you know can offer skills to help with the administration and other duties, we would love to hear from you. Age limits do not apply to these tasks.
