What an incredibly special weekend we had in the sun-soaked spaces of our beloved Abington Park! Our wonderful community group, Friends of Abington Park, together with many members, committed park-goers, the park ranger, and some honoured guests, brought to life an exciting project that holds promise for a greener future.
The ribbon was cut to mark the opening of the beautiful new tree avenue by Paul Beesley, Director of Beyond Theory, whose generous donation funded not only these new trees, but also the sleek and informative notice board that provides visitors to the park with information about the trees. His vision and philanthropy are heartening and will positively impact generations to come. We were honored to have our very own Mayor of Northampton there, to help us toast the event and cut the cake.
The new tree avenue is a testimony to what we can achieve when we come together as a community. Our park has always been a place of gathering, playing, resting, and now, more than ever, a place of growth and renewal.
