Friends have applied for funding to install two information boards near the sensory garden, one to inform about the planting plan and a second to explain the significance of the details of the mosaic. We will, if funding is obtained, also install a new board giving details of the more recent history of the park and the Manor House as well as information about the Friends. This we plan to install near the Ardington Road entrance. Additionally, NBC will be installing a further board giving details about the more ancient history relating to the Medieval Village. We hope that the new signage will enhance the time that visitors spend in the park.
In addition to the interpretation boards mentioned above, we have kindly had an offer of a new bench for the area. This was always planned but we had not achieved funding, so we are very grateful. A new tree has been purchased for the side of the garden to improve the aspect, again sponsored by a kind donor, you know who you are!
