Our aim is to assist the Park authorities as a volunteer group with the collection and removal of litter so that the Park can be kept in an appropriate condition for the benefit and enjoyment of all those who wish to use it.

The group formed over the Whitsun weekend during the Covid pandemic at the end of May 2020 when unprecedented numbers of people flocked to the Park to enjoy the great weather and to celebrate the first partial relaxation of lockdown but left vast quantities of their litter behind. On our first day we collected over 30 bags of litter and over the next 6 months we went out virtually every day picking litter.
Those days are thankfully behind us and we now have members who go out individually to pick litter and on a few occasions a year we get together for a group litter pick. New members are welcome to join us through the website.
